I have an antique lamp to be restored. The major component measures; 2' long, 0.625" wall thickness, 1.5" diameter and is corroded through.
This tube has 3ea cutouts at various locations around the circumference and length of the tube.
I have a segment of uncut replacement stock that needs these 3ea cutouts to be made in the identical locations as the original.
Is there a tool for copying the cutouts from the original to be transferred to the new tube?

What kind of accuracy? The welder in me says just wrap some heavy paper around the old one and make a template to transfer the holes.

Sorry to clutter up the board.............think I got it. Clear plastic pipe over original, copy cutouts and transfer

That’s what I’d do. Or if possible flatten the old one and use it as a pattern on some new stock and make a new one.
