Lets play......hide the c-spanner

The best sound a mechanic can hear is a tool hitting concrete...........
Years ago, we had a "discussion" in the shop about snap on vs craftsman. Now , I don't believe one is better than the other as far as quality. Ergonomics, a different story. Anyway, I bet that I could tell the difference in the "ring", of one hitting the concrete vs the other, and won.

I turned wrench’s 20 years at ford dealers then 7 as parts and service director. Snap on and Mac tit for tat. Both feel better when pulling hard vs. craftsman as stated above. Then 20 as LEO. Worn uniforms since 70..army. Ford. Police. Guess saved a lot on clothes.

Now Craftsman is made in China. They look the same but they are not. Look closer and you will see

Craftsman tools always had too fat working ends. I had some Bon-i-con (spelling?) that were beautifully made tools form the '40s. Light, slim and strong.

I worked @ a Cat dealer in Redding Cal for many years.
When a machine came in for repair,
lots of tools were in the belly pans, covered in dirt/grease.
They were dropped & sometimes hard to find.
i still have tools I salvaged after removing removing the belly pans.
