I'm not finding a whole lot of info about this tools, but it's basically a tangential insert tool that takes insane depths of cuts even on relatively light lathes...

This is what I'm talking about.

Where can I get this?

You going to need one beefy lathe in good shape to drive that sort of cut. Even then, look at the introduction of the tool into the material at about the 23:10 minute mark, and notice the flex.

LNMX is the insert. Here's a toolholder that uses that particular insert.

What kind of Monarch does he use? I don't think it's the 10ee because that one only has a swing of 12 inches, and his looks bigger. It looks as if it's the same size as the victor (which is what I have).

I'm just more curious about the tangential aspect of the insert, it seems to be optimized for a heavier cut, and can do heavier cuts with lower hp requirement (still more than a small lathe can handle but still).
