Logan back gear rod

I'm real close to being finished with my logan re-hab and i have a strange situation with the back gear rod.
The rod is suposed to be out to be running "back gear" but my machine is backwards..:yikes:.in is back gear and out is direct drive ?????
I am aware that back gear rod can be out of " sync' but reversed??? i did remove the rod from the headstock and replaced it after painting..:nono:?? is it possible i caused this backward situation??? never thought I could have such power:nuts:

Did you have the gears out and maybe put one back in flipped? I'm not familiar with the Logan but if the "rod" actuates a double gear that would make sense.
