For me it started with a similar request to a friend for a huge, free lathe in Emeryville. It ended with me receiving an SB Heavy 10L, a Kent vertical mill and a complete machine shop starter kit.

Put it out to the universe, sometimes you get an answer.
Still waiting for my rotary table.
