Moving my Index 747 in the basement

I like to see pictures of the things people do to get their machines into their workshops so here’s my struggle.

I got it in! Now to clean and reassemble.

Good work. The ram probably outweighs my entire mill and it was an SOB to move it in pieces into the basement.

The most surprising was how easy and uncomplicated the disassembly was. Although, if I hadn’t seen a video by Keith Rucker where he removed his head for a repair I probably would have been stumped.

Getting things close to where they will stay. Clean, lube and reassemble. Hopefully not too much longer.
