I just picked up this power hacksaw. The photo in the ad was not good and it appeared it might be old and rusty. The plan was to bead blast it and have it coated. I didn't need a power hacksaw as I have a Grizzly horiz bandsay. But the price was $75 and I did not have one so I bought it. Surprisingly, the hacksaw turned out to be in beautiful condition. don't know what I will use it for but I will remove it from the plywood base and mount it on a small stand. Perhaps it can go into my basement shop since I can carry it easily.

Nice find!

I used to live in Arvada. It was back in 1973.

That's cool---- kinda looks like a remake of a antique with modern materials. Now if you could replace the chain with a belt drive it would run a lot smoother

Hey S,
You got the cool part right but not for the reason you think.
They cut slow and on the front stroke clean the swarf.Since they cut slow there is less heat built up and less spot hardening so its a lot easier to machine.
