My Gibs are worn out

Thanks for all the information :encourage:
Referencing the picture above; it appears that the previous owner placed the adjusting screw over the end of the gib rather than in the cut-out slot. I guess to get some extra length. So there is no way to grasp the gib to pull it out. Any thoughts how I might remove that gib???
That is on the X axis. And the Y is the same thing :bang head:
The best way to fix the problem is to make a thicker jib. For some reason they wear out faster.
The ways I have seen to fix is.
1) shim aka flat bar
2) epoxy filler
3) set screws.
4) brazing on a extention
5) make new one out brass.

To remove the jib
Move table away from the thick side
Take thin and side it so toch the gib now clamp to table .
Move table this will move jib out so get hold of it.

Tap it out from the other side with a piece of brass or aluminum.

Take a small punch from the other side to push it out. Or drill and tap the end of the gib to work it out, (back and forth motion on the axis while applying pressure).
