Need a project idea for a damaged string trimmer.

About 15 years ago radio controlled boats powered by string trimmer motors were a thing. I pulled about a dozen from the junk pile at the town dump and sold the engines (none running but decent condition) on Ebay for about $25 each.

I see an RC scale replica of the Battleship Missouri in your future.

I BUILT A WEED EATER POWERED MINI GO-KART FOR MY KIDS .
IT STARTED LIFE AS A KETTLER PEDAL CAR .
WHEN HE WAS 6 , CLOCKED MY SON AT 22mph ON A TEST TRACK .

IT HAS A 2 SPEED TRANSMISSION , ONE WAY HUBS THAT SERVE AS A DIFFERENTIAL
AND A BAND BRAKE ON BOTH BACK WHEELS . I USED A LOT OF REAL KART PARTS
AND INTEGRATED THEM TO THE KART WITH MY MACHINED PARTS .

I STILL HAVE IT HANGING ON THE WALL WAITING FOR GRANDKIDS TO GET OLD ENOUGH .

Depending on the displacement they are used to race 1/8th and 1/4 scale sprint cars and late models on dirt ovals. Fun to drive and much easier on the back than the full size alternative
