So I got a tool box full of tools and wanted to restore a a square and put it on my YouTube channel. The square is a 3in try square it says disston & Morss phila. I can’t find any thing but that disston and Morss was founded in 1867 and merged with disston and sons in 1900. And does anyone know the stamp in the third picture?

....sorry me again, this tab:
http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex/detail.aspx?id=255&tab=7

does mention "Morss" a few times....

Try a <ctrl><f> (for find) in your browser.

Note the spelling of Morse verus Morss. Strangely, the original patent page is missing the signatures to help asertain if this spelling is correct or an error in typesetting. Thomas L. is reported to be the father of Joab Morss of the venture of Disston and Morss.

The fifth occurence of "Morss" on the page mentions a patent for an "Improvment in try squares".
