Pm 1/2 Keyless Drill Chuck

In this Thread I talked about the Albrecht keyless drill chuck that I bought and subsequently returned for credit and I turned around and bought one of the precision drill chucks PM advertises on Amazon. The price is the same going to PM, so I went direct.

Ordered the chuck on Monday and received it today. I immediately installed it and checked the run out, without any bumping to fine tune the run out, here is what I got. I think for half the price of the Albrecht and better run out, Matt hit one out of the ballpark on this one. I may try to bump it to near zero, maybe I will just leave it well enough alone. Maybe it is luck that I got a good one, maybe this is consistent with their advertised run out of 0.00078. Regardless of what it may be, I am happy with it.

Would not bump it, looks really good as is and thank you for posting. This is about as good as you can get, and it can vary based on what you are chucking up. Glad you made the change.
 
Yea, after I bought it I realized that while I don't do it as often, I do sometimes have to use a bit smaller than 1/8". So, realizing how good this 5/8" chuck is, I bought the 0-1/2" too. :rolleyes:
