PM1030-V Spindle speed anomalies

The suggestions for 'wiping the pot' seems to have improved the situation. Followed that advice and the frequency of the phenomena has decreased substantially. Bought a new potentiometer from Digikey and will replace it if it starts being a nuisance again. Thank you all for your suggestions.
