Hi. I just picked up a Postel Die Filer machine. I’m not sure how old of a machine it is, but it has a 1/4” bore in the file holder. I need to find a source for machine filer files with a 1/4”round shank that cut on the down stroke.

Additionally, you can grind the ends of regular files.

Congrats on the new tool. Die filers are handy when you need them and generally useful in a home shop.

Grinding the ends on regular files is something you should / must do. I was able to pick up a smattering of 'real' die filer files from Gary at Martin Model. It's been at least five years, but you might try him if you want some factory fodder.

I followed the suggestion in the video, and went to Falcon Tool. Ordered a handful of various types of files.

Yes Sir. Same here…

Funny, when I placed my order I received an email from then asking where I heard about their company…because they were overwhelmed with orders for the files. I shared the link of Blondihacks video…

Nothing like someone saying “get them before they run out” lol
