Press Brake CNC Back Gauge

Hey....be careful with those connectors. I tried them recently and was not impressed. The solder melts, and appears to flow but it does not adhere well to the wire. The connector may only be held together by the plastic. Do some destruction testing to make sure you are happy before you use these.

Got a little more done on the wiring, just need to tie it down now. But basically done. Just need to get the software written, all of the motors move under computer control.

Any updates?
This is a really cool project. Would be nice to have a cnc back gauge on my 48" Diacro press brake.
 
The only thing we have done is added the computer and touch screen to the system, but no real software to run it. We can jog the motors from the keyboard or touch screen display and read the position on the DRO display. It is not really under any kind of CNC control, nor does it have any setup recipes for various parts. We'll get around to doing this someday..... Maybe. :rolleyes: For the moment it works fine for our needs.
