Removing a boring-head arbor

As said a bit of heat won't hurt it. Just uncomfortable to the touch should be enough unless someone use threadlocker. On my boring head I got the 1" shank off with no damage. I heated the head at the threads, sprayed some Kroil between the head & arbor, let it sit/cool a bit. Then I heated it again & flash froze the arbor near the threads. Chances are you probably don't have freezer spray on hand, can just used canned air sprayed upside down. Have to be kind of quick about it after cooling the arbor to unscrew it so the head stay hot. Not sure if the Kroil actually helped any but that's what I did to get mine off.
