In the first video we display the 11-1/2" x 29 Lathe with running issues. (21 minuets)
The fault was: Intermittent no run, funny noises, surging and poor performance.
Because replacement main boards are all but non existent:
We decide in short order to upgrade the motor to our two HP servo Motor. This job is done with very limited hand tools.
The motor conversion job would take about 2 hours. There are a few performance results shown at the end of the video.
In the second video we build the electronics into the existing lathe housing. (30 minuets)
This portion is considerably harder than the motor install so if your OK with the extra control unit, maybe don’t do this.
This portion would take about 4 hours. It contains all the information needed to convert the old electronics to run the new servo motor.

All parts required to do this mod are available at:https://www.ServoMotorKit.com
