I look at these ads and think how many of those tool bits won't work for me. How many will I have to regrind/reshape. I always come to the same conclusion. More cost effective for me to buy exactly what I want from Shars. I usually buy their long tool bits. 8" long IIRC and get 3 tool bits from each piece. My tool bits last forever because I don't do that much with my lathe. Being an old fart I probably have a lifetime supply with what I already have. I'd rather horde something other than old used tool bits.
