Watched Blondihack's video & since my commercially made scribe will not hold a tip anymore....
Darning needle tip (Loctite), knurled, hollowed out for tip storage, hex cap on spin indexer, clear coat.

I use old tungstens from my tig cart. Sharpen to your desired type of point, seems to “scribe” nearly everything I put under it.

No prying with it though. Too brittle for that.
 
I sharpened up a broken 1/16 carbide end mill 1/8” shank. I say whatever you have. Any pointy thing can work. The harder the better.


Cutting oil is my blood.
