Hi,
I have looked high and low to find a set of replacement plastic shower door guides and have come up empty and broke (LOL) so I decided to make a set.

The problem is what kind of material should I use?
Plastic, of course, as I fear anything metal might cause damage to the glass over time.
Looked online for plastic and the plethora of choices led me to get some advise.

I would want something white or clear.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Mike.

Delrin is easy to machine, has great lubricity, and is soft enough that it won't damage the glass. It comes in either white or black and is also known by the generic name acetal.
and lasts forever….

I concur, Delrin is your friend for that job. McMaster has what you need:

They had the best price from the few sites I checked. Order placed - Thanks.

Your alternate material would be UHMW.
