The lathe needs a good amount of cleaning. Luckily it was put in the corner of a welding shop and covered in oil so it had a nice greasy dusty protection layer.
It does run and the quick change and feeds are all working.
Motor conversion was done ok but not the best. Hard mounted in one belt position. Going to atleast add a tensioner to act as a clutch and maybe someday source another intermediate shaft to get the speeds back. I doubt I'll be in a rush because it's on it's slowest position and there are two speeds in back gear as well.
I know very little about Sidney lathes, I just found one brochure online that shows them in medium detail and looks identical to this one and are labeled heavy pattern lathes in the brochure?
