Skinner Chunk Info

That is a verry nice looking chuck. The good part is that you can make a backplate to fit most lathe's. What lathe do you have?

I have a Precision Matthews PM1440BV, uses a D1-5 camlock, 2" spindle bore. I may hunt around for a plain back plate as it would be nice to have a smaller 4 jaw for some tasks, the 8" that is there seems huge sitting next to the Skinner even though it's only a couple of inches bigger.

Ain't that always the way, you have a cam lock spindle and you end up with threaded chucks and vice versa....
Skinner's are darn fine chucks, IMO.
