I found a manual for my newly acquired Gorton 8d vertical mill. The manual says spindle oil should be Vacuoline Oil "C". They specify viscosity as 127' @ 100 degrees F and 41' @ 210 degrees F. I'm not sure what viscosity units this is and cannot find what modern oil is similar to vacuoline oil c.
