Sorry MrBreeze-

You could also just shim the bottom out the amount of the lip on the top/side of your cutoff blade. Just a little more fidgety than the nice milling job Frank did.

Do you have a milling attachment?

Bernie

yeah, I have a milling attachment, but waiting to get some collets to hold the end Mills and stock.
Thought I would end up going with the ER 40 after all. Waiting for tools $ cheap to get the ER 40 collet chucks in.
The milling attachment is a little funky, it came with the lathe.
Let me see if I can find the link. No, I can't find it,here are some pictures.

Wonder if those are 1/2" parting tool blades it takes?
Seems to measure closer to 9/16" but I think there may be only 1/2" and 5/8" blades.

Just wondering did anyone ever use real old fashioned faucet handles for a old Delta power tool?
The real ones look like this.

Real Delta.JPG

centered in the lathe, drilled and taped for the sander.

They get up to $25.00 each or more for the real ones. Got these for $15.00 shipped.

These are a little smaller, but will be OK. I have to still do one more.
It goes on the side for the tracking.
I trapped a turned down washer under the ring where the porcelain hot cold would go.

I am so stealing that idea thanks.
Way neater than the two end job I bodged for my vertical slide.

Re:Delta sander was Style 7 AXA tool post holder Mod.

The motor cover door was missing from the sander, made this one out of an old road sign.
Still have to paint it.
