Found this Powermatic 712H locally. I wasn't even aware that PM made (or sold is more like it) these saws, but it has some nice features to it. it looks identical to todays Grizzly version of the 712 (there seem to be some variations in the 712 models between the mfgs. like the placement of the feed hydraulics and such). I will probably have to get some replacement parts from Griz for this one (some bolts, m a pulley and who knows what I haven't caught yet) but still I feel I'm far ahead in terms of value.
It's dirty as hell, and will require some serious cleaning and minor fabrication/replacement of parts but runs smoothly:
