Two VFD‘s in my basement shop, one for Homebrew CNC mill one for drill press. Both motors purchased used on eBay, one is an inverter ready motor the other was from a commercial clothes dryer. One VFD was name brand used, the other new cheapest Made in China one I could find on ebay (that actually appears to be very well made)
Zero issues, lots of smooth torque, variable speed, much quicker braking, all things good. don’t hesitate.
