I have a bunch of these. Any ideas what they were for?
I was thinking to make some machinist jacks for my boring mill.

They look like a couple mandral holders we have in at work . Of course not identical , but set screws tighten on the angled groove to pull our filter mandrals into the machine .
 
Kind of like these Mcklosky holder’s maybe?
