Beauty in The Beast: Webb 5BVK Barn Find/Conversion

Maybe I missed it but I'm wondering if you know who the manufacturer is?
Haven't been able to find it - though I did a little searching.
I suspect an Asian manufacturer.
Reason: the markings, while not Bijur's letters (Bijur does not have a metering unit that even starts with either a C or a P...) but it may be their nomenclature.

As noted - mine are marked:
CPV 3
CPB 3
PSS 00

I have tested them - and the two marked "3" are night and day difference from the one marked 00.
Note: Bijur's speeds are:
00 medium slow
3 fast

While these don't have letters that Bijur uses - they do have what appears to be similar numbers based on my testing of them.
The "3" are fast, and the 00 is very slow.

I see a number of Chinese companies are making them.
But none match the nomenclature on mine either.
Example below.

My recommendation is to call Bijur and ask for technical assistance.
Give the tech rep the information you have provided here.
Because of their long standing excellence in the field, I would not be surprised if they recognize your situation and can give good advice.
YMMV

Looks like you are set on cable and breakout boards.

Ha! Indeed. Good thought on direct contact. Perhaps I could also check with Webb and see if they have some tech specs on what was initially utilized.

Ok - tks.
Mini computer. Does Win 10 "pro" fit the bill - or needs to be win 10 only.
Any minimums on RAM or processor - feel free to mention.
I'll pull trigger in AM.

Still need insight on pendant controller.
Will any Ebay one that lists "Seimens" work or must it be for the "US xs90"?
I see a few for Seimens "FAGOR".
Not sure they are compatible?

Tks.

Win 10 Pro is fine. 8 Ram and what ever processor will be fine, I normally spend around $150 on them. Any of the wired MPGs is fine.

Sd - I did not see this page.
Very helpful.

I did however read about them - and there were a number of clues that suggest they are not Bijur.
My three in question were marked:
CPV 3
CPB 3
PSS 00

I don't think that fits Bijur's nomenclature.
Additionally - two of mine had a black plastic sealing ring on both ends of the metering unit.
None of the Bijur units shown on their metering unit page.

Finally - the "metering units" have a check valve - which mine have (the "control units" do not).
So I am relatively confident I am looking at the right page.

Pretty sure they are not Bijur.

*Edit - Sdelivery - did you ever rebuild your Webb? Didn't you have a super similar mill to mine?
Yes I have a nearly identical machine. It doesn't say web but it was equipped with an Allen Bradley 8400......
I was hoping to buy your main board and cartridge and convert it to fancy.
But there have been so many fires to put out I haven't done anything with it.

I don't know the name of that brand of meter but I buy them from. ABSOLUTE MACHINE TOOL 800 852 7825
Ask for the parts manager.

Sdelivery - know all about getting too busy with other projects...
Think we all experience it.
Enjoying being able to re-focus here.

When I am done with my upgrade, you can have the unused original board(s).
No need to purchase.
I'll pass on my good fortune.
Just pay shipping - and I will box them up and ship them out.

Will let you know when I'm ready & what's left over.

Great.
Thanks.
