Re: The next project

With the going train ticking away ,on time at 37 1/2 ticks per min. I can turn to the motion work.

the two minute wheels and the hour wheel and its pinion, have to be set on the depthing tool to ensure that the two sets will run freely at the same centres, this measurement will be transferd to the front plate to get the position of the minute wheel stud.

The stud ,its minute wheel pipe--hour wheel pipe-- and hour hand collet all fit co axial on the stud.

When this lot is in place i can fit the dial.

Re: The next project

OK now to fit the dial
the posts are fitted to the frame.

P1012208.JPG

Then place the dial feet in the holes, put the hour wheel on its pin, and space it up until its just higer than the dial feet.

P1012209.JPG

Put a dab of epoxy on the dial feet and drop the dial into position , aligning it with the hour wheel and frame.

P1012210.JPG

Put together with a pair of hands it might look like a clock at last.
