Alright Gentlemen,

I store them on their back or side in a drawer of one of my tool boxes.

I leave it stuck to the head of the lathe. I just turn it off contact area approximately 90 degrees inward.

Magnetic indicator holders with adjustable arms get stored stuck upside down to the underside of the chip pan on my lathe (out of the way and protected from bumps, chips and dust) the magnetic pucks that are mounted directly to the back of the indicators are removed and parked inside a tool top box along with indicators where they won't collect chips and various other metalic objects. All indicators get stored in tool top box ready for the next application when not in use. I try to make it a habit to pick up, clean up and put up all tools and equipment either by the end of the day or at least by the end of the project. My shop is small and I want everything to have it's place and I like to be able to go directly to that tool without searching and have it ready for use.

I store most of mine stuck to a 3-1/2" x 19" metal plate that I screwed to the bottom of a shelf.
