Couldn't agree more with OP.
3D-CAD has a very steep learning curve but once you start to understand it, you have an incredibly powerful tool at your disposal.
Been using it for years from everything from home improvement projects to designing machines to making silicone molds.
Definitely a whole bunch of projects that I could never even have started on without 3D-CAD.
Youtube/google has an insane amount of tutorials for most softwares then it's just a matter of testing buttons in the software and having a lot of patience.
