Cutting oil vs Old motor oil and non-detergent oil

I find this thread very interesting, But due to problems breathing at times I have problems with some of the fluids that use sulfur or smoke a lot. Wife purchased me a bunch of the Anchorlube, and to my notion it is to thick so I thin it down with distilled water (which we have around the house). This works pretty good, but for some things like boring, parting etc, I still like some type of cutting oil, Have not tried mixing any as of yet, As Have had a good supply provided to me for cheep one time. AL WD40 that I have on hand, Will prob try some of the other stuff when I run out of things.
Waist oil from the car, (due to bad back wife will not allow me to do it any more) son in law does it some times, Thinking about waist oil fired foundry setup. Don't think I want to try it turning due to fumes.
