Hi guys. Been very busy designing better systems. See the new 1500 truly flat face strait shaft here.

will the LMS 2 speed belt drive work on the g0758 as far as i can tell it will not but would love it if it can, i could make a custom belt drive to fit (good reason for the wife to let me buy a lathe).
240 Ac is not a problem for me.
do you sell a 750W servo motor? and do you think that is a better solution?
I was thinking that the simple solution would be belt drive with a BLDC or keep the gears they are not that noisey and the dust collector drowns it out anyway.
anyway thanks for the information.
loved your videos BTW
You need to check with LMS to see if their kit fits. If it does, this is the motor and drive to use:

but, I am out of stock of the home made pulley and the manufacturer will not ship for about 2 weeks.
Than there is my own complete kit. It is much better but we need to make some measurements first.
See that kit here:

Optionally you can just purchase the motor and make all your own parts.
You will need a mill and a lathe to do that.

nice! with your kit do i just remove the stock H/L gears? or can i leave them in and just bypass (not that it matters much)
what is the led light for?
Thanks for the info?
i saw this kit but did not think it would fit my g0758, perfect solution.

I do not know if the kit will fit your G0758. Please do not order yet. We need to
pull the top cover and motor plate and look. I need to see what the top of the spindle looks like.
Than if it looks plausible I will need measurements.

As for the high low gears. I always remove the jack shaft and the gear. There are press in plastic plugs included for
the hole where the shaft was. However that is a lot of work. I have seen several just shift it to neutral and leave them
installed. All say it works just fine that way.

since i will be putting my mill back together after taking photos, what do i need to measure while i'm in there?

Spindle shaft where a drive pulley would be fit to it. Like seen in the mini mill video.
These are not easy conversions. The LMS kit was but most take months to design a bolt on kit.
If your mill is running good enogh now, maybe wait until it breaks.

it is running like new now

Then save the money and wait until you need more performance. Besides it sounds like your current mill is doing what you need for now.

will do
the mills purpose is to entertain me, and i'm entertained by modifying it lol.
thanks for the help i will circle back to this later.
