Sierra Nevada region massive snowfall

Come spring, it will start to melt, some may remain on the highest peaks especially on the north facing flanks, when the Donner Party got snowed in in 1846, there was nearly 20 ft of snow.

We're up to the job ! Bring it on . The lake effect snow from the lakes bring the same . Snow on the ground in July .

I have heard of Buffalo, NY getting ridiculous (comparable) dumps. As a kid I was like wtfrig.as an adult it boggles me more.

If any of these same ateas got rain instead, what would be the outcomes?

Don't have to shovel rain....

Waiting for it to hit. We're at the north end of the Sierra at 4000', so nothing like what's going to hit the central Sierra, but still going to be a good one. Fist time for a blizzard warning in the 18 years we've been here. Plow and chains are on the truck.
