Small hole gauges

I have the half round style from Starrett, I think the main thing recommending them is that they allow measurement of shallow bores during trial cuts, without having to bore deeper, which may save a critical measurement from being bored oversize, and also the issue of being able to measure to the bottom of a bore is a valid issue.
