Take the nuts an washer off first... Then slide the completed gear housing into place. Showing here how far out the bolts will stick out .

Make sure the Hi-low lever is in the HI position. Pack the area around and under the bull gear. Half way up the gear teeth.

Now loosen the screws holding the lever to the shaft. Rotate it until it's in the "low" position.

Turn the detent plate until the holes line up with the holes in the gear housing. Secure in place with the two remaining cap head screws.
