Install the 1st set screw. Normally at this point you put in a R8 collet to insure you don't go to deep with the set screw. I didn't have one handy.
Last thing to do is slide a collet in and out of the spindle to insure it doesn't bind up. Then install the hollow locking set screw to lock it.

Last thing on the list is installing the R8 collet alignment screw. It's a double set screw as shown.
Bend the tab into place with a screw driver and the mallet.
When you finish tightening the spindle lock nut stop where you can line up one of the tabs with a slot on the nut.
Get the spanner wrench! Tighten the nut down a couple of light taps with the dead blow. Don't over tighten or you will bind the bearings.
Mount the spindle in the vise (with soft jaws or covered in brass like mine.) Bearings on the right side this time.
