Is this Mitutoyo authentic?

Most likely the real deal. Typical fakes, the printing/fonts do match up and the spacing is off, variation in the molded plastic and screws, etc. Color of the buttons and small things like the thimbles do not match if it is a knockoff. Seems to be exactly the same as an OEM picture. Another telltale difference with new ones is the battery should state made in Japan, not China. Yours also appears to have a digital output socket to the right of the display.

@Batmanacw My guess is that it is the 5 or 6 year old version of the current one.
Mine "flashes dashes" after battery replacement until you hit the 'origin' button, then you get a scrolling dash line left to right, then all zeros.
If it were fake, you'd get a different sequence. Congratulations of a super rare find!

The same things would likely apply to your mic. From everything you posted, it does appear to be authentic.
