Yeah but I got them cheap on ebay, just took me some time to find the right deal on new ones. They last a long time for me, I just use them to get a big hole started. I only have 15/16", 1-3/8", & 2" and is all I need.
Not really & I'm not using the pilot pin & my ts quill is not beefy. Sometimes when first starting the hole but I just slow down the spindle or increase feed. Once it gets going they're fine. I've only used them on 6061 & mild steel though.
Sorry no link, I just bought them on ebay. As benmychree mentioned, they're expensive retail 0but you can find them cheap on ebay. There's resharpened ones too on ebay but I just bought new ones from random sellers. Mine are the Hougen brand.
