We made it down last night after a grueling drive thru DC . What a disaster 295 is . 3 accidents in 30 miles . It's sunny , the ocean is still here , nice breeze . No lathe , no mill , no tools , and no tractors . I need something to keep me occupied for 12 days . Hm ..................................

Surfside Beach S C below Myrtle Beach . We have been coming here since I was 17 , so 46 straight years now . Pics of the sunrise in an hour or so . Coffee is on and I'm up at 4.45am , guess I'm back on the work schedule .

Been there many times . Beautiful place . We don't go near the beaches up in Md or anywhere north as the crowds are terrible , so the drive is more than worth it to us . We've rented from the same woman now for over 10 years , we treat each other right . Beautiful place she has , always updated , 3 bedroom penthouse condo . Only 3 of us came this year . The place is huge for the the 3 of us but she gives us such a great rate why go anywhere else . Gas was $3.38 @gallon and is always cheap down here . Let's get the camera gear out and get some pics ! ( or it didn't happen )

Sunrise on the Atlantic . Battle for tractor rights going on between the orange and the green , I'm an orange man myself . The site of many a brewskys killed over the years . The river attracts all the younger kids from the beach , and we all knows what comes with young kids .

Yep, Surfside Beach we go there every year. My wife and I, both of our boys and their families and my sister and her husband - 13 of us in all. It takes quite a large condo to fit us all comfortably. I dearly love my family but I am not Joe tourist, so I get bored quickly. If someone would build a well equipped vacation machine shop and charge a weekly membership they would make a fortune!! Sort of a Disney World for machining geeks.

Half hour on the loader and the river is straight again for the day . There was a shop right on 501 coming in years ago . Not sure if it's still there . We were planning on moving down years ago and I was checking shops out for employment . I always wonder what if ? I stay directly across from the place I tried to purchase , missed it by $8000 .
