2 flutted end mill

Hi I just bought some end mills from online auction I have some 2flutted end mills and was wondering if I can use these on hot rolled steel or are they only used for alluminum ?? Thanks Denis

Sure, just go a little easy on the feed. They'll work just fine. If you have spray mist system use it! Ken

Yes, you can use the on steel. You will have to run at 1/2 the feed rate of a 4flute end mill, but they do work fine (just slower).
