I have a bit of free time today, so I decided to start making something fairly useless. That is until I need it .

It is from a piece of 1-1/4” square stock. Mild steel. I have the 2 bore sizes and the 24 deg included taper cut. Next will be the dovetail. I will also make a couple of boring bar holders 5/8”&3/4”.

All finished. I had some extra 22MM wrenches. So I added flats to accommodate the 22MM

I used a 10-32 set screw and turned down the end to make the timing pin. I did not tap all the way. That way the screw bottoms out for a secure fit. I only need to add the height adjustment now.

Why ?
I am gathering stuff to make 3C blocks, but why have a 3C tool holder ?

As I stated in the first post. I know it is fairly useless. That being said. I had a few hours today at work before my next job came in. Instead of starring at my computer for 4 or so hours. This was the first thing I thought of. Got to do mill work and some lathe work. Boring, cutting a taper and threading.

What better way to spend 4 hours.
