I designed and machined these aluminum fins earlier this year. They were designed in Fusion 360. They are tapered front to rear in a diamond shape. They are also tapered from the bottom to the top. The fin roots are machined to match the OD of the motor casing. The fins will be attached directly to the motor with high temperature epoxy.

Each for started as a 12” long piece of 4” aluminum I-beam. It took about 2.5 hours to machine each fin.

Nice job, Chris! Where were you when I used to shape surfboards? I could have used some fancy skegs back then.
