For your finish pass, remove all but a single insert. You will them mimic a flycutter and uneven inserts aren't a factor.

I had been thinking about using two inserts. Just to keep it balanced.

You get what you pay for?!...Did I likely buy a dud, or is there something I can do to save this mill? I'm gonna take the inserts out and test it again and see if it's just crummy inserts.
