Why so many guests I wonder? Is that typical for a forum? Is this particular forum referenced a lot on other sites and that drives random traffic here?

The guests can also be members looking, just not logging in. or internet bots logging everything for search engines, or whatever. Also, many forums do not have the ability to track individual users that are not logged in, so it could be counting some twice.

Still good numbers.

Yeah it's fairly common to have a lot of lurkers. On another forum I'm on it says right now:

The big majority of the guests are search engines logging every thing and other bots looking for certain things. That is how google and other search engines find stuff for you. they are watching everything, they are also mining data. Like if you post an email or phone number it will be tied to your name or if you post you are looking for something you will start to see adds for that item.
