Can, an e stop switch, be connected to its circuit by a tethered wire to a male female panel connector? So I could unplug it from the control box if need be?
And, also can the wires for limit and home switches, and a touch plate be connected to the control box in a similar way?
My aim is to make my desktop router as portable as possible. I'm not one who is content with it staying in one place for to very long. My workshop is in constant flux at the moment and may need moving and updating periodically.

I don't see why this couldn't be done. The machine would not run with the cable unplugged, so it should be safe.

If you use more than one plug-in switch make sure you you do something like color code or number them so you don't mix them up.

Done and done. It is totally different from axis connectors.
