Advice on cutting roller bearings

The first picture is all the roller out of the hydraulic motors. The second picture is the roller I’m gonna try duplicating. The third pic is of my successful cuts all three were spun while downfeeding the head. It’s puts a nice pattern on the cut end but will be ground off when brought to size. I think it should work out fine. I only need to stop blowing up the wheels. I had a second one blow up on start up. I think being humid and it cinched down in the arbor it flexed it while getting up to speed. It practically broke in half around the hub???

Dowel pins should be pretty accurate and smooth, given their various applications. But if grinding stuff you've already got works, go for it!!

I would say to just make sure to bevel the edge so to ensure the sharp edge dont shave off the guide over time.
