Anyone mount a strobe light to the lathe?

I have used hand held strobes for trouble shooting high speed machines. But mounting one permanit on a machine not a good idea. True story, A single tub floresent light was near a 8" bench grinder the light on the grinder burn't out. Some one lost a finger becouse the grinder aperead to be off. It was not me but I did work there. I tryed to tell them to get rid of the single tub lights. Thay listend after the fact.
