Believe it or not , some 20 years ago I picked up a LeBlond Regal 20" x 80" Toolroom lathe that cut penetrators its entire life . Paid $900 for it . Sold one of the chucks for $300 so I had 6 bills into it . I used it for 5 years , then consigned it to my friends company . Centra Corp in Md . I ended up getting over $6000 when he sold it ! Selling price was about 12 G . Very nice machines are the Regals and they do command big bucks . And to add , I kept all the tooling and still have it to this day !

I saw the Warner Swasey already on CL for $750.
There were a few other things, like Equipto cabinets I would've really liked but the pick up days don't jive with my work schedule.

Yeah, and I don't have any knowledge about those servo-shifts but it sounded like a jar of marbles when the guy showing me the lathe shifted speeds.
Those LeBlonds look so nice though.
