AXA & AXO Tool Bit Holders

Are AXA & AXO tool bit holders interchangeable? I have several AXO piston style holders but am going to need an AXA QCTP for my South Bend 9A lathe. Anyone know?

Are you sure its say AXO instead of OXA? Ive never seen axo!

Likewise. AXO doesn’t seem to exist according to Mr Google.

But OXA and AXA tool holders are not compatible. AXA is significantly larger.

Well I've been wrong before and I'm probably wrong now. Mine was, because I sold the lathe it was on, a Shar's 250-100 QCTP. The lathe was a 16" swing and my SB 9A & 9C are both 9" swings

Yes, I have OXA on a 7-14, AXA on my 9 inch, old school lantern still on the Lodge and Shipley.

Maybe I just lucked out. I just checked my tool bit holders and they are all 250-1XX holders so I guess all I need to order is the AXA, 250-100 QCTP without any additional holders.
