Ball Nut Holder

Yeah, I rolled it on the plate. LOL. That was the first thing I did to see if it would be obvious. I did all my checks atleast every 90 degrees of rotation too. Every one of them. I spent some time on it. I think for some reason the screw was in a bind on the machine. I've done some Chinese machine repair tricks (this isn't a Chinese machine) and started putting it back together. So far I'm not getting any binding or pulsing like I was before. Its not all tight yet. Just snug. Its beer thirty for me. I'll tighten it all up tomorrow and see what happens. If it still feels good, I'll slap the servo back on and see how it spins under power.
 
Put V blocks at each end of the screw where the bearings go. Use a flat tip on the indicator and check the center and up and down the length.
Or put it between dead centers in the lathe to check it. Rotate just the shaft not the chuck.
